I got out of bed about 5 am. I didn't want to miss a minute of our time left on Maui!
We ate a quick breakfast then back to Kapalua for a last snorkel. It was early and the beach was nice and empty.
Female bird wrasse. I saw a male later. He's got my favorite colors!
Damselfish.
Didn't find any eels. I guess they weren't awake yet.We left the condo at 11am for our 2pm flight. We stopped at Costco for gas and candies. Then we ate lunch with the locals - at Costco!
I got PreCheck but not he guys. They have a rather common last name but mine is rare (just 9 of us) so that helps?
I've decided next time I'm going to bite the bullet and check in one big suitcase. Then we can bring our own fins and I won't have to worry about packing the things I buy.
The lounge was steaming hot. I'm glad we kept our shorts and slippahs on. A sniffer dog being trained came through the lounge. It was a young black lab with a very active tail! Everyone clapped when he found the bait.
I got a couple more views of Maui as we left
As sad as we were to leave Maui it's always nice to get home. Of course this had to be dealt with
I don't know when we'll be back in the islands and maybe not next summer. We'll miss our son when he heads off for college in fall 2015 but that will allow us to take advantage of good airfare deals off season! When I do I will be sure to do another blog!
